Tax Administrator - Durban

An established and professional firm in Durban is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Administrator to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with strong tax compliance experience who is looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and client-focused environment.

• Prepare monthly and annual management accounts
• Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs and other applicable reporting frameworks
• Maintain and review accounting records, reconciliations, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and other statutory returns
• Liaise with SARS regarding client queries, audits, objections, and compliance matters
• Assist clients with accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports where required
• Maintain fixed asset registers and perform related reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, accounting standards, and internal procedures
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and timely communication
• Assist with the training and development of junior accounting staff where applicable

• Previous experience in a tax administration or tax compliance role
• Sound knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS procedures
• Experience with SARS eFiling and tax administration software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client portfolios effectively
