SITE SUPERVISOR

We are looking to employ the services of a SITE SUPERVISOR

• Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress.
• Make sure that the building work is finished on time and to a high standard.
• Organize schedules of work (plans of what should happen when); manage workers; and deal with issues such as health and safety and logistics.
• He/she ensures that the workers are working in a safe way and inspects work to make sure it matches up to the drawings and client specifications and is of good quality.
• Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public.
• Selecting tools and materials.
• Checking and preparing site reports and drawings.
• Maintaining quality control procedures.
• Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.
• Assessing and minimizing risk.
• Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork.
• Helping to negotiating contracts and securing permits and licenses.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

• Previous experience in a structural steel fabrication environment, in a similar position, is essential.
• Computer Literate, MS Word & Excel
• Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015
• Multitask and ability to work under pressure
• Good Communication skill & bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
• Good customer relations
• Code 8, Drivers licence
• Grade 12 or equivalent essential
• Red Seal Trade qualification and/or N4 certificate in Mechanical or Civil engineering advantage.

Salary: market related
