The role

Data Lead (Including Master Data & Electronic Data Interchange)

What You'll Be Responsible For

Data Management & Migration

  • Act as the primary in-market point of contact for all data-related deployment activities.
  • Coordinate the preparation, cleansing, enrichment, and validation of master data required for migration.
  • Customer Master Data
  • Material Master Data
  • Vendor Master Data
  • Pricing Data
  • Business Partner Master Data
  • Ensure all migration activities are completed in line with Project Opus timelines and quality standards.
  • Drive data readiness activities to support successful system deployment and business continuity.

Master Data Governance

  • Support the implementation of global Master Data Management (MDM) standards and governance principles.
  • Ensure local data structures are aligned with the global data model.
  • Support key Master Data Key (MDMK) decisions and data governance requirements.
  • Material Types

  • Base Units of Measure
  • Business Partner Concepts
  • Business Partner Roles
  • Account Groups
  • Partner with global data teams to ensure consistency and compliance with global templates and standards.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

  • Coordinate all local EDI deployment activities and trading partner readiness.
  • Ensure successful integration and testing of EDI connections with customers, suppliers, and third-party service providers.
  • Work with local business teams and technical experts to identify and resolve EDI-related issues.
  • Support end-to-end testing and validation of EDI transactions prior to go-live.

Data Quality & Risk Management

  • Duplicate records
  • Incomplete data
  • Incorrect mappings
  • Inconsistent master data structures
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Wave and Global Data Teams where required.
  • Track and monitor data risks, mitigation plans, and issue resolution activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local data privacy, security, and governance requirements.

Testing & Cutover Support

  • Participate in mock data loads and migration rehearsals.
  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities from a data perspective.
  • Validate migrated data and coordinate issue resolution activities.
  • Support cutover planning and deployment readiness assessments.
  • Provide Hypercare support for data-related incidents and defects following go-live.
  • Ensure data defects are appropriately tracked, prioritized, and resolved.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate cross-functional input from local functional SMEs, including Customer Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and HR.
  • Facilitate collaboration between local business teams, deployment teams, and global data teams.
  • Communicate progress, issues, risks, and key milestones to the Local Deployment Lead.
  • Support decision-making through effective governance and stakeholder engagement.

    We're Looking For Someone Who

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in Master Data Management, Data Migration, Data Governance, or ERP deployment projects.
    • Strong understanding of master data structures and data ownership across multiple business functions.
    • Experience with SAP Master Data concepts and ERP implementation projects.
    • Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and trading partner connectivity.
    • Experience supporting SIT, UAT, migration testing, and deployment activities.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Experience working in FMCG, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Consumer Goods environments is advantageous.
