MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
• Certification in DevOps and/or DevOps systems/tools are advantageous
• Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Argo-Workflows, Jenkins
• Proficient in Linux Environments
• Proficient with Jira, Bitbucket, Git systems
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure as code (IAC)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

• Maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines across Jenkins, Argo Workflows and GitOps
• Reduce pipeline failures and build times through automation and optimisation
• Ensure pipeline changes are tested, documented and reviewed before release
• Promote GitOps, automation and shared ownership across delivery teams
• Collaborate with teams to migrate legacy delivery processes to DevOps practices
• Document and share DevOps standards, runbooks and lessons learned
• Deliver secure, repeatable deployments within agreed project timelines
• Maintain Kubernetes environments, access controls and deployment health
• Investigate delivery failures and implement corrective actions
• Maintain stable, secure and available Kubernetes and DevOps platforms
• Respond to incidents promptly and implement preventative improvements
• Monitor platform health, capacity, certificates and access controls

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will support the DevOps Lead Engineer by driving the hands-on implementation of our infrastructure automation and overall DevOps strategies. You will work alongside our Development and Infrastructure teams to optimize the development lifecycle and streamline internal processes. In addition to managing day-to-day DevOps processes, you will be a primary technical contributor to Amrod’s Overall DevOps environment, helping to build and shape our future technologies.
