Structural Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Structural/Civil Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team in Gauteng. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial sectors, with current project exposure focused primarily on the Green Hydrogen and hospitality industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and manage structural engineering designs from concept through to project delivery.
• Undertake structural design of concrete and structural steel structures.
• Assist senior engineers with the management and coordination of engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, project managers, and other multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
• Ensure structural designs comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide technical input during construction.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Assist with resolving technical and construction-related design issues.
• Manage multiple project deliverables while ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to project deadlines.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial, and Green Hydrogen sectors.

Requirements

• B.Sc., B.Eng, or B.Tech in Structural Engineering / Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years' experience in structural engineering.
• Proven experience in concrete and structural steel design.
• Civil engineering experience will be advantageous.
• Experience within a consulting engineering environment will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Prokon, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Experience with Revit will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, engineering standards, and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
