Import & Procurement Controller

Takora Human Capital is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Import & Procurement Controller to join their team.

We are looking for an organised, driven and detail-oriented professional with strong Imports / Supply Chain Management experience and the ability to manage the full import and procurement process from supplier readiness through to warehouse receipt.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Diploma/Degree in Imports, Supply Chain Management or related field

Minimum 4 years’ experience in Imports / Supply Chain Management

Financial background will be advantageous

SAP experience will be advantageous

Strong computer literacy

Financially and figure orientated

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to multitask and work under pressure

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage end-to-end imports and procurement for an allocated portfolio

• Validate proforma invoices and create SAP purchase orders

• Follow up with suppliers on stock and shipment readiness

• Obtain and compare freight quotations and appoint agents

• Monitor shipments and ensure timely delivery

• Check shipping and import documentation

• Coordinate clearing instructions and warehouse receipt

• Prepare supplier payments, FEC requirements and import costings

• Book stock into SAP

• Maintain accurate shipment reports and import files

• Proactively communicate risks and potential delays

• Provide support across other import portfolios when required
