SAGE 300 PAYROLL OFFICER (Manufacturing) – ROSSLYN
A well-established automotive component manufacturing company in Rosslyn is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer
The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timeous administration of the company’s weekly payroll, including payroll processing, timekeeping, employee records, reconciliations and statutory requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric + Relevant qualification.
- 3–5 years’ weekly payroll experience.
- Experience with Sage 300 People is essential
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Sound understanding of payroll processes, controls and South African statutory requirements.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict payroll deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process the weekly payroll accurately and timeously using Sage 300 People.
- Capture and verify payroll inputs, including hours worked, overtime, allowances, bonuses, deductions and other earnings.
- Process new employees, employee changes and terminations, including final payments.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and payroll profiles.
- Process and maintain weekly attendance, timekeeping and leave information.
- Verify overtime, shift work, Sunday and public holiday hours where applicable.
- Investigate discrepancies between timekeeping, leave and payroll records.
- Run payroll calculations, validation reports and variance reports.
- Conduct weekly payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies before final submission.
- Ensure payroll amendments are supported by the necessary documentation and approvals.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, supporting documentation and audit trails.
- Assist with statutory payroll requirements, submissions and reconciliations.
- Ensure payroll information is handled securely and remains strictly confidential.
- Provide payroll-related information and support to employees, supervisors and management when required.
