We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Relationship Manager to join a dynamic team based in Parktown, Gauteng.
This opportunity is suited to someone with strong experience in Learning & Development, SETAs, funding, grant proposals and stakeholder relationship management. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, securing funding and building strategic partnerships that support skills development initiatives and business growth.
- Identify and track funding opportunities across SETAs, NSF, Embassies, government agencies and international donors
- Manage the full proposal development process, including:
- Concept notes
- Business cases
- Budgets
- Training plans
- Implementation plans
- Prepare and submit SETA Discretionary Grant applications
- Ensure applications meet relevant funder and organisational requirements
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with SETAs, government agencies, Embassies, donors and other key stakeholders
- Represent the organisation at stakeholder meetings, networking events and partnership engagements
- Facilitate MOUs, partnership agreements and consortium relationships
- Coordinate the effective handover of secured projects to Operations for implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Identify new markets, funding opportunities, partnerships and collaboration opportunities
- Monitor sector trends and contribute to strategic planning
- Contribute to revenue forecasting and fundraising targets
- Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting on funding opportunities, proposals and projects
- Support accreditation applications, Quality Management System (QMS) development and programme expansion

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Management or a related field
- Minimum 4 years’ sales experience within Learning & Development, SETAs, Embassies, National Skills Fund (NSF), NGOs or similar institutions
- Proven experience in grant proposal writing, budgeting and securing funding
- Experience securing funding from government, embassies and international donors
- Strong knowledge of SETA processes
- Good understanding of Discretionary Grant funding windows and special funding opportunities
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own reliable vehicle
- South African Citizen
