Tax Compliance Consultant

We have an amazing opportunity for a Tax Consultant to join a well-established professional services firm, providing tax advice and tax services to a wide range of clients across all sectors, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Objections to SARS as required by Clients and Partners, liaising directly with the relevant Partner before submission
• Manage Objections from start to finish, ensuring quality, accuracy and the Client's best interests throughout
• Ensure ongoing follow-up and tracking with SARS on all tax-related matters, including objections and submissions
• Handle IT registrations, Tax Clearance, Tax Applications and Objections with SARS, ensuring proper receipt
• Accurately process and log all information on GreatSoft
• Act as liaison between the group/Partners and SARS on all tax-related matters, maintaining strong client relationships
• Provide continuous, accurate feedback to the relevant Group liaison and Partners
• Deliver accurate reports at month-end and attend SARS in person when required

We require a candidate with

• At least 5 years' experience in a tax consulting role
• Up-to-date knowledge of tax industry rules and legislation
• Computer literacy, with specific knowledge of GreatSoft and SARS e-Filing
• Registered practitioner status, or eligibility to apply for a practitioner number
• Matric plus a relevant tax-related degree or diploma
