FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - PROJECTS

An established and growing organisation within the property development sector is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant: Projects to support its finance and project-management operations. Working closely with the CFO, Finance Department and Project Management Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for daily bookkeeping and accounting activities, financial transaction processing, account reconciliations, invoicing and the preparation of accurate supporting schedules and reports.

Record invoices, receipts, payments and other financial transactions accurately and promptly in Sage.

Maintain organised financial records and supporting documentation.

Capture financial information in Sage and spreadsheets.Reconcile customer invoices, statements and accounts.

Assist with the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports.Ensure supplier invoices are received and processed on time.

Manage purchase orders and prepare invoices for payment.

Assist with bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.Prepare supporting schedules for monthly management accounts and annual audits.

Monitor and compare actual expenditure.

Liaise with the payroll administrator regarding payroll matters.Complete monthly VAT submissions.

Collaborate effectively with the Finance Department and Project Management Team.

Diploma or degree in Accounting.

At least five years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Practical experience in financial data capture, account reconciliations and financial reporting.

Experience with Sage would be advantageous.

Strong Microsoft Office and spreadsheet skills.

Sound knowledge of daily bookkeeping and financial transaction processing.
