Data Engineers / Data Scientists with Machine Learning and AI experience.

We are looking for Data Engineers and Data Scientists with a strong technical background and experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence across Johannesburg and Pretoria. We are interested in connecting with professionals who have experience designing and developing data solutions, working with large datasets, building data pipelines, developing predictive models, and applying AI/ML techniques to solve complex business problems.

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Practical knowledge and experience in

• Data engineering principles and best practices
• Data modelling, data warehousing, and database design
• Designing and developing scalable data pipelines
• ETL/ELT processes and data integration
• SQL and relational databases
• Python and/or other data-focused programming languages
• Data analysis, cleansing, transformation, and preparation
• Machine Learning algorithms and model development
• Supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
• Predictive modelling and statistical analysis
• Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI concepts
• Model evaluation, optimisation, and deployment
• Data visualisation and communicating data-driven insights
• Big Data technologies and distributed data processing
• Cloud-based data platforms and services
• APIs, data integration, and automation
• Data quality, governance, and security principles

Advantageous experience

• Machine Learning frameworks and libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or equivalent
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Big Data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Kafka, or equivalent
• MLOps and deploying Machine Learning models into production environments
• Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, or other AI technologies
