CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in commercial office and retail fit-outs. This role is suited to a hands-on project professional who can manage projects from initial brief and design coordination through to completion, while maintaining control of programme, cost, quality and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage turnkey commercial office and retail fit-out projects from inception to handover.
• Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, cash flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Oversee tender processes, procurement, contractor appointments and contract administration.
• Monitor project programmes, site progress, quality and construction standards.
• Identify and resolve site issues and project bottlenecks efficiently.
• Manage variations, claims, final accounts and project close-out.
• Provide leadership and coordination to junior project managers and site teams.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure project expectations are met.
• Manage projects across multiple locations where required.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related built-environment discipline.
• Approximately 5–8 years' experience in construction project management.
• Proven commercial office and/or retail fit-out experience.
• Strong understanding of construction, budgeting, tendering and project controls.
• Experience managing projects from design brief through to final account.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Willingness to travel nationally when required.
