Family Medical Practice (FMP) is one of Vietnam’s longest-established international healthcare providers, delivering high-quality medical services since 1994.

With six clinics across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang, FMP provides multidisciplinary outpatient care, emergency medical services, health screening, corporate healthcare and a wide range of specialist medical services to Vietnamese, expatriate and international communities.

Our medical and management teams are multicultural, with professionals from Vietnam and countries around the world. We combine international standards of care with extensive experience operating within the Vietnamese healthcare environment.

We are currently looking for an experienced Operations & Business Development Director to take a key leadership role in the management and continued growth of our Hanoi Clinic.

For international candidates, FMP provides support with Work Permit and legal employment process, as well as relocation assistance to Hanoi .

Position Overview

The Operations & Business Development Director will be responsible for the overall operational efficiency and business development of the Hanoi Clinic.

This is a senior management position requiring a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, proven experience in operations and manpower management, and a commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Director, Department Heads and Group Management to ensure the clinic operates efficiently, maintains high standards of patient service and continues to develop its business and services.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the Hanoi Clinic.
  • Review and optimize manpower requirements, schedules, workflows and allocation of resources.
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate according to patient volume and operational requirements.
  • Monitor productivity and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Review operational costs and identify areas where resources can be used more effectively.
  • Ensure consistent service standards and a positive patient experience.
  • Monitor clinic performance through operational and financial KPIs.

Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and areas for growth for the Hanoi Clinic.
  • Develop strategies to increase patient volume, revenue and utilization of existing services.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce or expand medical specialties, healthcare services and corporate healthcare programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, embassies, international organizations, insurance companies, schools, hotels and other potential partners.
  • Support the development and negotiation of corporate contracts and strategic partnerships.
  • Analyze the local healthcare market, competitors, patient needs and emerging opportunities.

People & Manpower Management

  • Lead and support operational teams to achieve strong performance and service standards.
  • Ensure effective manpower planning and efficient allocation of employees across departments.
  • Review staffing structures and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, efficiency and a strong patient-service culture.
  • Work closely with Human Resources regarding recruitment, workforce planning, and performance management and employee relations.
  • Support department managers in improving team organization and performance.

We are looking for a commercially minded healthcare professional who combines strong operational leadership with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Management or a related field.
  • Strong professional experience in healthcare operations, hospital or clinic management, or healthcare business development.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, commercial partnerships or revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Previous experience within an international healthcare environment would be an advantage.
