Tax Portfolio Manager - Cape Town

Are you an experienced tax professional looking to take ownership of a portfolio and work alongside a strong tax team? Our client is looking for a Tax Portfolio Manager to manage the tax compliance requirements of a portfolio of clients while working closely with the wider tax team.

• Prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts
• Manage SARS queries, verifications and related correspondence
• Ensure all tax submissions and compliance matters are kept up to date
• Manage client matters via SARS eFiling
• Manage and maintain a portfolio of tax clients
• Assist with general tax compliance matters
• Attend to client billing for tax services
• Work closely with the tax team and other managers on client matters

• Undergraduate degree or similar qualification – essential
• Strong working knowledge of SARS eFiling – essential
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of tax clients – advantageous
• Previous articles experience – preferred
• Tax Practitioner registration – preferred
• GreatSoft experience – advantageous
• Experience with tax compliance for individuals, companies and trusts
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership of a portfolio
• Experience working with GreatSoft, SARS eFiling and/or BSharp will be advantageous
