What We Are Looking For

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Assist the Maintenance Planner to provide a Maintenance Planning service for safe and efficient operations on the Boskop site.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Assist the Maintenance Planner in balancing weekly schedules and artisan capacities.
  • Review, verify, and close out maintenance requests on SAP, ensuring high-quality technical feedback.
  • Monitor maintenance backlogs and compile weekly/monthly performance reports (e.g., PM compliance, breakdown rates).
  • Draw and track stock items and raise purchase requisitions on SAP.
  • Manage, track, and archive all legal and statutory inspection certificates to ensure continuous audit readiness.
  • Coordinate documentation and site-access requirements for external engineering contractors.
  • Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy

Post Requirements

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Grade 12 (with Mathematics) or equivalent qualification.
  • NQF Level 5 in Administration or Logistics.
  • At least 3–5 years of administration within a heavy industrial or engineering maintenance department.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and comprehensive operational knowledge of SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and MM (Materials Management) modules.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
  • ability to communicate effectively across all levels, assertively follow up with technical teams, and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of the Explosives Act
  • Valid driver’s license
