Engineering Field Service Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Field Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our field service engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering, as well as proven leadership skills to effectively manage a team and ensure high-quality service delivery to our clients.

Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of field service engineers and technicians

- Ensure timely and efficient resolution of technical issues and service requests

- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of field service staff

- Monitor field service performance metrics and implement improvement strategies as needed

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of field service activities

- Manage inventory, equipment, and resources to optimize field service operations

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction

- Provide technical support and expertise to field service staff as needed

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field;

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical field service role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position

- Strong technical expertise in engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Proven ability to manage a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

- Experience in developing and implementing training programs for technical staff

- Familiarity with field service management software and tools

- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed

- Certification or licensure in a relevant engineering field is a plus
