Debriefing Manager

Our client in the Transport Industry, requires the services of a Debriefing Manager who is strong on systems to join the team.

Key performance areas

• Administering and implementing system configuration changes.
• Confirming and approving monthly system costs in collaboration with the Admin Manager.
• Managing and controlling systems installed in vehicles, including all information generated by these systems.
• Managing and resolving system- and service provider-related issues.
• Managing and controlling all accident- and insurance-related documentation and reporting.
• Overseeing and coordinating driver training in collaboration with the relevant specialist.
• Coordinating all new vehicle installations.
• Compiling performance exception reports, both positive and negative.
• Counselling and disciplining drivers when necessary and appropriate.
• Managing staff responsible for information and procedures used in the debriefing process.
• Assisting in other areas as required.

The successful candidate must have

• Matric with a Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Commercial, or Management studies will be advantageous
• At least 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Successful track record at management level within an operations or distribution environment.
• Experience in systems management and involvement in expense management processes is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of vehicle tracking systems.
• Sound understanding of disciplinary procedures and good interpersonal, management, and staff leadership skills.
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Must be accurate and pay great attention to detail
• Must have a driver’s licence
