As an Electronic Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving advanced manufacturing equipment that supports the production of our smoke-free products. You'll work in a highly automated environment, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, quality, and operational performance

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, planned, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC, and automation-related faults.
  • Maintain equipment calibration to ensure consistent performance, quality, and compliance.
  • Support production teams during changeovers, format changes, and technical interventions.
  • Participate in equipment installation, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with integrating new technologies, automation systems, and control devices into existing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and data within company systems.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Analyse equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Support troubleshooting of critical production failures and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure maintenance tools and equipment remain in good working condition.
  • Use SAP to manage spare parts, maintenance information, and inventory requirements.
  • Promote and comply with all quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Completed National Diploma/ Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as an Electronic Technician, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
  • Strong experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and industrial automation systems.
  • At least 2 years' experience within a high-volume manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Working knowledge of control systems and automation technologies, including Siemens, Rockwell, Festo, Wonderware InTouch, WinCC, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with equipment calibration and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is key.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance activities while balancing production requirements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
