SAICA Clerk-Century City

Our client is seeking a motivated, professional and detail-oriented SAICA Clerk to join their team in Century City, Cape Town.

The successful candidate will be enrolled in or commencing a SAICA training contract and will gain practical exposure to accounting, auditing, taxation and related professional services. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is committed to completing their SAICA articles and developing a successful career as a Chartered Accountant.

• Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Perform audit and assurance procedures under the supervision of senior team members.
• Assist with accounting and bookkeeping functions where required.
• Prepare working papers and maintain accurate audit files.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with tax calculations, submissions and related administrative requirements.
• Obtain and analyse supporting documentation for audit and accounting engagements.
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members.
• Assist with monthly and annual accounting processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Develop an understanding of relevant legislation, accounting standards and auditing requirements.
• Attend training and professional development activities as required by the SAICA training programme.
• Perform other duties reasonably associated with the position and level of training.

• BCom Accounting, BCompt, Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Academic eligibility for a SAICA-accredited training contract.
• Strong interest in pursuing the CA(SA) qualification.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

R10000-R15000CTC depending on experience
