About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Mobile Crane Operator / HGV Articulated Truck Driver (Class CE) to join our growing team in Cork, Ireland. This is a dual-responsibility role where you will be responsible for driving HGV articulated units (tractor-trailers), transporting heavy equipment/crane loads across Cork and Munster, and operating mobile cranes safely on industrial, civil, and construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobile Crane Operation: Safely set up, rig, and operate mobile telescopic cranes on various site environments across Cork.

• HGV Driving: Transport crane ballast, counterweights, and heavy equipment using Class CE articulated trucks.

• Rigging & Slinging: Oversee and assist with slinging, rigging, and load securement in compliance with Irish and EU safety standards.

• Pre-Operational Checks: Perform daily pre-trip inspections on both HGV vehicles and mobile cranes; report any mechanical issues immediately.

• Site Safety: Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS) on site.

• Client Interaction: Act as a professional representative of the company on client job sites.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid South African

  Code EC driving licence (equivalent to EU Class CE Articulated Truck Licence).

• Certifications

  • Recognized Mobile Crane Operator certification (e.g., SAQA/CETA accreditation or CSCS equivalent).

  • Slinging/Signaller certification is highly advantageous.

• Experience: Minimum

  3–5 years of hands-on experience operating mobile telescopic cranes and driving Class CE heavy articulated vehicles.

• Language: Fluent spoken and written English is essential.

• Documentation: Valid passport with at least 18–24 months validity. Clean criminal record check (Police Clearance Certificate) and clean driving record.
