Vida One Design is a signage and branding company offering full-service design, manufacturing and installation for businesses across South Africa. We create signage that looks great on screen and works in the real world, from in-store retail environments to large-format external branding.

We're looking for an experienced Signage Graphic Designer to join our team in Benoni. If you understand how a design goes from concept to production to installation, and you enjoy seeing your work up on shopfronts, billboards and store interiors, we'd like to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Designing creative, eye-catching in-store signage for retail environments
• Designing external signage for retail stores, including shopfronts, pylons and fascia signage
• Creating billboard designs and large-format artwork
• Producing general banners, branding and corporate identity applications
• Preparing accurate, production-ready artwork and technical files for manufacturing
• Making sure every design can be practically produced and installed, taking materials, sizes, fixing methods and site conditions into account
• Working closely with the production, installation and sales teams to deliver projects on time and to spec

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a graphic designer, with proven signage design experience
• Advanced proficiency in CorelDRAW (essential)
• Practical, hands-on knowledge of signage production and installation, including materials, substrates, printing, cutting and fabrication processes
• A strong creative eye for retail and in-store signage
• The ability to turn a client brief into designs that are both visually strong and practical to build
• High attention to detail, especially with measurements, scaling and artwork preparation
• A team player who communicates well and can manage multiple projects and deadlines
• A portfolio showing signage, retail and large-format work (required)

Advantageous

• Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience designing for large retail groups or franchise brands
• A relevant qualification in Graphic Design or a related field
• Own reliable transport
