RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

An experienced residential construction professional is required to take responsibility for on-site coordination and supervision in the Western Cape. Our client is looking for a capable Foreman who can lead site teams, manage subcontractors and maintain high standards of quality, safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day construction activities.
• Lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors.
• Ensure daily tasks and project deliverables are clearly communicated.
• Monitor construction progress and assist with maintaining project timelines.
• Ensure work is carried out according to drawings and project specifications.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain required quality standards.
• Identify and follow up on snags and outstanding work.
• Ensure safe working practices are consistently maintained.
• Coordinate labour, materials and equipment requirements.
• Communicate site progress and challenges to management.
• Assist with inspections, reporting and general site administration.
• Identify potential risks and delays and take appropriate action.
• Maintain an organised, productive and professional site environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in a Foreman position.
• Residential construction experience is essential.
• Proven experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong practical knowledge of construction methods and processes.
• Sound understanding of construction quality and safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Reliable, organised and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
