Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Financial Controller for a 6-month contract.

This is a processing-focused finance role suited to someone who is highly accurate, diligent and efficient, and comfortable with a high level of manual processing and administration.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong ERP experience, preferably SAGE 300, who can work independently and take ownership of their responsibilities.

Cashbook processing, bank reconciliations and credit-card processing.
General ledger processing and monthly journal entries.
Balance-sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
Month-end processing and supporting schedules.
Creditor processing, payments and expense claims.
VAT201, PAYE and SARS-related submissions and administration.
Assist with audit preparation, queries and supporting documentation.
Process foreign-currency transactions where required.
Ensure financial records and supporting documentation are accurate and up to date.
Provide general finance support to the Financial Manager and wider finance team.

3–4+ years' experience in a similar Financial Controller, Financial Accountant or accounting role.
Strong experience in cashbooks, reconciliations, journals and month-end processing.
Experience with VAT, PAYE and SARS.
Strong ERP experience – SAGE 300 preferred.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience in a high-volume, processing-focused finance environment would be advantageous.
