Electrical Technologist/ Technician

Our client is a well-established engineering consultancy seeking a technically strong and experienced Electrical Technologist/ Technican to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of electrical infrastructure and building services projects from concept through to completion, while working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering practical electrical engineering solutions, managing technical documentation and project requirements, and providing independent engineering input across the full project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ relevant experience within a consulting engineering environment
• ECSA registration as a Pr Tech Eng or Pr Techni Eng will be advantageous
• Education : BTech/ NDip in Electrical Engineering
• Candidates who are eligible for professional registration will also be considered
• Proven experience in electrical infrastructure and electrical building services design
• Experience working on municipal and/or private sector projects
• AutoCAD, ReticMaster, Relux and Microsoft Office experience is essential
• Experience with Revit MEP and integration of engineering software packages will be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Design and manage electrical infrastructure and building services projects from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and project close-out.
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documentation, procurement documentation, BOQs, cost estimates and project budgets.
• Provide technical engineering input and develop practical solutions to complex electrical engineering challenges.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines and budgets while ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with client requirements and applicable standards.
