Executive Chef

Rachel Hastings is appointing an Executive Chef.

We are strengthening our kitchen line-up and looking for an experienced chef to take a senior position on the hot kitchen.

Rachel Hastings is a privately owned restaurant in Pretoria East, part of the Hastings Towers group. We are building a brand around consistency, craft and presentation — and the kitchen is where that promise is either kept or broken.

The standard we work to

– Presentation. Plating is a discipline, not a finishing touch. Every plate leaves the pass looking intentional.

– Speed. Tickets move. We deliver quickly without trading away quality.

– Detail. Seasoning, temperature, portioning and finish are consistent across every cover, every service.

What we're looking for

– Proven experience in a professional hot kitchen at a senior level

– A demonstrable eye for plating and presentation

– The ability to hold pace and composure through a full service

– Menu input, costing awareness and section leadership

– Formal culinary qualification advantageous
