- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for healthcare and medical professionals, from sourcing and screening through to placement and onboarding.
- Source qualified healthcare professionals through recruitment databases, job boards, professional networks, referrals, social media, and direct sourcing.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines of healthcare professionals for current and future vacancies.
- Review CVs and applications to assess candidates against specific qualifications, experience, skills, and client requirements.
- Conduct telephone, virtual, and competency-based interviews to evaluate candidate suitability.
- Engage with candidates to understand their career objectives, availability, experience, preferred locations, and employment requirements.
- Verify relevant qualifications, professional registrations, certifications, employment history, and references in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Coordinate required background and compliance checks before candidate placement.
- Work closely with healthcare facilities, hospitals, clinics, medical practices, and hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and vacancy specifications.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and healthcare professionals throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Present suitably qualified candidates to clients and coordinate interviews, feedback, selection, and offer processes.
- Facilitate communication between candidates and clients to ensure a smooth and professional recruitment experience.
- Manage multiple vacancies and candidate pipelines while working within agreed recruitment deadlines and service-level requirements.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, recruitment documentation, and placement information on ATS and recruitment databases.
- Ensure candidate and client information is handled with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Provide regular recruitment pipeline updates, placement reports, and vacancy progress to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support salary discussions and offer negotiations where appropriate and within agreed parameters.
- Coordinate candidate onboarding, documentation, start dates, and other pre-placement requirements.
- Maintain awareness of healthcare recruitment requirements and ensure recruitment activities follow applicable organisational policies and legal requirements.
- Proactively identify suitable candidates for urgent and hard-to-fill healthcare positions.
- Develop long-term relationships with candidates to support repeat placements and future career opportunities.
- Contribute to business development by identifying potential staffing requirements and opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
- Monitor recruitment activity and performance metrics, including candidate submissions, interviews, placements, and time-to-fill.
- Continuously improve sourcing and recruitment strategies to attract high-quality healthcare talent and enhance the candidate and client experience.
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, or Human Resources certification is an added advantage.
- Additional training in healthcare recruitment, compliance, or candidate assessment would be beneficial.
- 2–5 years' experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, staffing, or recruitment consultancy.
- Previous experience recruiting within the healthcare or medical sector is highly advantageous.
- Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate submission, offer management, and onboarding.
- Experience recruiting for a variety of healthcare professionals and understanding different clinical and non-clinical role requirements.
- Proven experience building and maintaining candidate pipelines and talent pools.
- Experience with high-volume recruitment and managing multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Experience conducting candidate screening, competency-based interviews, reference checks, and qualification verification.
- Experience working with healthcare clients, hospitals, clinics, medical practices, or other healthcare organisations is advantageous
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment databases.
- Proficiency in recruitment platforms, job boards, LinkedIn, social media sourcing, and online recruitment tools.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience using online assessment and candidate-testing platforms is advantageous.
- Ability to maintain accurate recruitment records and produce recruitment pipeline and performance reports.
