HR Generalist to join the HR team of a highly regarded luxury hotel group in Cape Town.

This is a dynamic role offering broad exposure across recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, HR administration and employee engagement. It is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is looking to further develop their career while making a meaningful contribution to the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the full recruitment process, including candidate shortlisting, interviews, background checks and onboarding
  • Assist with employee relations and disciplinary processes alongside the HR Business Partner
  • Collaborate with the HR Administrator on HRIS updates, payroll inputs, UI19 forms and salary schedules
  • Participate in workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
  • Assist with HR process improvements and various HR projects
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee information and documentation
  • Provide effective day-to-day HR support across the organisation

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • 2–4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within hospitality or a large service environment
  • Sound knowledge of HR processes and South African labour legislation
  • Experience working with HR systems and processes
  • SAGE 300 People experience will be advantageous
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks
