Audit Manager - East Rand

A well-established Accounting and Audit Firm based in Benoni is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its team. This opportunity is suited to a qualified and experienced audit professional who can manage a portfolio of clients, oversee audit engagements and provide guidance to audit staff while maintaining high technical and professional standards.

• Manage audit engagements from planning through to completion

• Oversee and review audit files and working papers

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients and ensure deadlines are met

• Review financial statements and audit-related documentation

• Apply IFRS for SMEs, ISA and relevant provisions of the Companies Act

• Ensure audit work complies with applicable professional and regulatory requirements

• Supervise, review and provide guidance to junior audit staff

• Identify accounting and audit risks and ensure appropriate procedures are performed

• Communicate with clients regarding audit requirements, findings and queries

• Assist with resolving technical accounting and auditing matters

• Monitor engagement progress, budgets and deadlines

• Maintain high standards of quality and professional conduct

• CA(SA) qualification or equivalent relevant professional qualification

• Proven audit experience within an accounting/audit firm

• Experience managing audit engagements and client portfolios

• Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and ISA

• Good understanding of the Companies Act and relevant professional requirements

• Experience reviewing audit files and financial statements

• Strong leadership and staff supervision skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

• Strong communication and client relationship skills

• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
