A leading organisation within the manufacturing and construction materials sector is seeking an experienced Finance Support professional to join their Finance team on a 3-month project contract.

The role will provide hands-on financial and administrative support, with a strong focus on reviewing and validating financial information, SAP data, reconciliations, supporting documentation and resolving outstanding items.

  • Provide finance support on assigned projects.
  • Review, analyse and validate financial information.
  • Check transactions captured on SAP against supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile information between SAP, project records and spreadsheets.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information, duplicate entries and incorrect postings.
  • Investigate variances and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
  • Track outstanding transactions, queries and actions through to completion.
  • Maintain accurate project trackers and financial records.
  • Prepare reconciliation schedules, reports and status updates.
  • Assist with monitoring project-related financial activities and deadlines.
  • Ensure supporting documentation is complete and properly maintained.
  • Escalate unresolved discrepancies to the relevant Finance Manager or project lead.
  • Assist with general finance administration as required.
  • Matric
  • BCom / BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
  • 3–5 years' experience in a similar finance position
  • SAP experience is essential
  • Strong reconciliation and financial administration experience
  • Sound knowledge of statutory requirements
  • Sound knowledge of taxation
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Experience working with financial data, reports and supporting documentation
