A Supply Chain Development and Optimisation Manager position has become available to support business strategies and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Focused material handling and storage safety and quality with due consideration of the environment
- Integrate procurement and warehouse management into the supply chain
- Develop sourcing practices to align with group best practices and internal controls
- Leverage intercompany sourcing
- Value chain analysis to minimise the cost of raw materials, considering lead times, stockholding, and supply chain risk
- Continuously evaluate insourcing/importing of products and components
- Develop manage and maintain supplier and customer relationships
- Maintain and record transactional data on Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to track and report transactions on the system
- Import and Export logistics management
- Optimize inventory to support the business objective of reducing net working capital
- Develop and improve warehousing disciplines and stock control systems
- Efficiently manage control to prevent stock losses, stock-outs, and ensure continuity of supply to meet customer demand
- Analyse and report inventory information
- In and outbound logistics management
- Customer and supplier relationship and contract management
Role Objective
- Supply chain strategy development aligned with business strategy and objectives
- Strategic sourcing of raw materials, consumables, and services
- Inventory optimisation
- Warehouse management systems development and implementation
- Commercial contracts and relationship management
Requirements
- Relevant 3-year university degree or diploma; MCIPS or post graduate management qualification is an advantage
- Mid to senior management experience in managing teams in manufacturing or engineering industries
- Previous exposure procurement, warehousing, sales and logistics
- Contracts management experience
- Computer literacy is essential
- Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized spreadsheets and word processing applications
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Proven leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to identify non-conformances and opportunities for improvement.
- Strong data analysis skills
- Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams
- Practical experience and knowledge of ERP software,
- Accounting knowledge is an advantage
- Own transportation
