Tender Specialist

Take the next step in your commercial career with an onsite opportunity for an experienced Tender Specialist. Our client requires a hands-on professional who understands the commercial and contractual aspects of tendering and can confidently manage the process from initial documentation through to final recommendation.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of practical experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience handling tenders and commercial evaluations.
• Solid understanding of contracts and contract administration.
• Advanced or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to mining, construction, engineering or a comparable technical environment is advantageous.
• Comfortable working independently in a site-based mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee tender activities from scope and documentation through to evaluation and award.
• Prepare and distribute RFQs, RFPs and tender packs.
• Analyse contractor and supplier submissions from a commercial perspective.
• Compare rates, BOQs, pricing, exclusions and tender deviations.
• Prepare structured tender evaluation reports and recommendations.
• Apply sound QS methodology to tender assessments.
• Assist with the preparation, review and administration of contracts.
• Identify potential commercial, pricing and contractual risks.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout the tender process.
• Keep tender registers and supporting documentation accurate, complete and audit-ready.
