SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA Trainee Accountants - Cape Town

A well-established Advisory and Accounting Firm, based in Bellville, is seeking motivated and committed accounting graduates to join its team through a SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA traineeship. This opportunity is suited to candidates who are looking to build their practical accounting experience within a professional firm environment while working towards their chosen professional qualification. The successful candidates will gain exposure to a range of accounting functions and client portfolios while working alongside experienced professionals.

• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records
• Perform accounting entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements
• Assist with VAT, PAYE and other SARS-related compliance requirements
• Process and review invoices, journals and bank transactions
• Assist with general bookkeeping and accounting duties
• Maintain accurate client records and supporting documentation
• Liaise with clients to obtain relevant financial information when required
• Work closely with senior accountants and managers across various client portfolios
• Gain practical exposure to accounting and financial reporting processes
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within required deadlines

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Suitable for candidates pursuing or intending to pursue SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA
• Strong foundation in accounting principles
• Good numerical and analytical ability
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
• Willingness to learn and develop within a professional accounting environment
• Previous accounting or bookkeeping exposure will be advantageous
