Technical Sales and Support Representative

My client is a South African company that specializes in the supply of ID card printers, metal detectors, alcohol testers, Watchdog body worn cameras, access and ID consumables, and guard monitoring systems. Their well-established customer base continues to grow throughout Africa as the reliability of their products and professionalism of their staff continue to complement their reputation among their clients.

Full-time Technical Sales Representative role (Office based) based in JHB, combining sales and technical product responsibilities, suited to a candidate early in their career with some prior sales experience.

• Product Specialist - Manage product expertise, market research, client presentations, sales team support, accurate quoting and drive product growth through new and existing business opportunities.
• Grow existing accounts by maintaining relationships with clients
• Sales Pipeline management (CRM)
• Generate new leads and convert existing leads into sales
• Manage sales enquiries, including quoting and following up on quotations.
• Assist with product presentations, tender briefings, tender specs & trade shows
• General assistance to the sales team
• Sales Admin duties
• Travel will be required for customers visits and may include in outer lying areas

Requirements / Skill / Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and have their own vehicle – business travel will be compensated at AA rates
• 1 - 3 Years with technical sales experience.
• Communication and customer service skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and general PC knowledge
• Matric Certificate or equivalent is a minimum requirement
• Preferably familiar with CRM or similar sales tools

R 25 500, plus imcentive.
