TRADE MARKETING / CHANNEL SPECIALIST – ON TRADE

If you know the liquor industry, understand the On Trade and love seeing great brands come to life in the right venues, this is a role worth looking at.

We are recruiting for a fantastic international liquor business with an awesome portfolio of premium brands, a great company culture and a refreshingly flat structure.

This isn't a role where you'll simply be handed a marketing plan to execute. There is plenty of room to bring your own ideas, be creative, influence the strategy and really make your mark.

Sitting between Sales and Marketing, you will take ownership of the On Trade channel – thinking bars, restaurants, nightclubs and premium venues – and look at how the brands show up, how consumers engage with them and how you turn great ideas into commercially successful activations.

You’ll be involved in everything from channel strategy and outlet segmentation to activations, menu strategies, POS, customer partnerships, competitor insights and measuring what is actually working. You’ll work closely with the Brand, Sales and Commercial teams, but there is real scope to think differently and bring new ideas to the table.

The non-negotiables

• Solid experience in the liquor / alcoholic beverages industry
• Strong On Trade experience and a genuine understanding of the South African On Trade landscape
• Around 3–5 years’ experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Marketing or Brand Activation
• Commercially savvy but equally creative
• Someone who enjoys hospitality, nightlife, premium brands and being close to the market
