We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. The incumbent will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well-functioning.

  • Be accountable for CAPEX and OPEX budgets defined for maintenance renovations and construction
  • Plan and coordinate all installations (mechanical, architectural, electrical, structural, horticultural, etc.) and refurbishments
  • Comprehensive understanding of scheduling and detailing in line with, Corrective, Preventive, Reactive, Planned and Unplanned Maintenance or Building renovation
  • Understanding of basic Engineering design and drawing, Ability to analyse structures and failure detection, formulate ideas to resolve structural fatigue, specify the type of maintenance required, and outline Scope Definition.
  • Review utility consumption and strive for cost effective strategies.
  • Align all positions to give effect to the organisation’s vision, mission, and value statement
  • Provide resources to support operational strategies
  • Responsible for the ongoing improvement, and continued development, of our Strategic Facilities Maintenance Plan
  • Support and manage all stakeholders
  • Drafting Variation orders Bills of Quantities for various Construction Works.
  • National Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant field
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in facilities maintenance
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Civils and Structural Maintenance or Building renovation works (GB)
  • Full understanding of Exterior and Interior Civil and Structural Building FABRIC. Electrical, Mechanical, and Architectural Terminology and specification comprehension.
  • Ability to do a comprehensive Conditional Assessment of a Facility and Asset Register
  • Basic knowledge of Landscaping/Labour Laws and Health and Safety Procedures
  • Sound Report writing and presentation skills, programming, and scheduling both with excel and Ms. Projects
