Bookkeeper

Our client is seeking a disciplined, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone who takes full ownership of their work, maintains exceptional accuracy, and thrives in a structured, multi-company environment.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial information while supporting the Financial Manager in maintaining strong financial controls across the business.
- Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
- Maintain accurate general ledger, creditors, and debtors
- Oversee and control the creditors’ function
- Review payroll outputs and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register
- Prepare monthly management reports and variance analysis
- Prepare bi-monthly cash flow reports
- Monitor and manage cash flow forecasts
- Submit VAT, PAYE, and statutory returns accurately and on time
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and audit packs
- Support the Financial Manager with reporting and ad hoc finance requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping (advantageous)
- Minimum of 4 years’ bookkeeping experience
- Experience on Pastel or similar accounting system
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in a multi-company environment (advantageous)
