Motion Graphic Designer

Motionworx is evolving. As part of a broader shift into Nova — a forward-thinking creative and technology-led environment — we’re expanding beyond traditional video production into more integrated, idea-driven content and digital experiences.

We’re currently looking for one strong hybrid creative who can confidently handle both video editing and motion design. It’s an opportunity to work across the full visual spectrum and help shape how we bring ideas to life in this next phase.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pretoria.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in crafting high-quality, engaging visual content — from edit to final polish — across a variety of projects.

What You’ll Do

• Video Editing: Turn raw footage into clear, engaging, and well-paced content with strong narrative flow
• Motion Design: Create motion graphics and animations that enhance storytelling and elevate the final product
• Conceptual Thinking: Collaborate with the team on storyboarding and visual direction
• Finishing: Handle colour correction, grading, and sound design to deliver polished outputs
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams in-studio to bring ideas to life in a cohesive way
• Quality Control: Ensure all deliverables meet a high creative standard
• Stay Sharp: Keep up with tools, trends, and evolving creative approaches

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in both video editing and motion design (or very strong in one with solid capability in the other)
• Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar
• A portfolio that shows both technical skill and creative thinking
• Strong attention to detail and a good sense of pacing and storytelling
• Self-managed, reliable, and comfortable working in a collaborative, on-site environment
• Clear communicator with a proactive mindset
