Senior Engineering Technologist ( Civil/Urban)

Group 6, an Australia-based engineering company, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Technologist with a strong background in civil and urban infrastructure projects to join our team remotely from South Africa.

With major infrastructure and urban development activity underway in Queensland, including projects leading up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, this role offers involvement in a long-term pipeline of high-impact work.

About the Role

This is a senior role where you will take ownership of civil design and documentation, supporting the delivery of urban and infrastructure projects while working closely with our Australia-based team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil design using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Road design, alignments, and corridor modelling
• Earthworks modelling and volume analysis
• Stormwater and drainage design/modelling
• Preparation and review of detailed drawings and documentation
• Coordination with engineers and project stakeholders

Requirements

• Qualification in Engineering Technology or related field
• 5–8+ years’ experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D (essential)
• Strong experience in civil/urban infrastructure (roads, subdivisions, drainage)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
• Solid understanding of engineering design standards (Australian standards advantageous)
• Strong communication skills for working with an international team
