A well-established company operating within the mining and heavy engineering sector is seeking an experienced Engine Assembler to join their technical team based in Kimberley.

This role focuses on the assembly, inspection, and testing of heavy-duty diesel engines, ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, and performance

• Assemble heavy-duty diesel engines for mining and industrial applications

• Assemble smaller commercial vehicle engines across various brands

• Conduct quality inspections on all engine components prior to assembly

• Perform troubleshooting and testing on the dynamometer (dyno) after assembly

• Work closely with technicians and project coordinators to determine scope of work

• Identify required parts and assist with ordering components

• Ensure quality control and accurate documentation throughout the assembly process

N2 Trade related subjects or 5+ years experience as a qualified artisan

Recognised Trade Test Certificate(Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Machinist or similar)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in diesel engine assembly

Experience with engines such as Deutz, Cummins, John Deere, Perkins, or CAT

Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English

Must reside in Kimberley or be willing to relocate

Willingness to work overtime when required

• Strong mechanical and technical skills

• High attention to detail and quality control

• Ability to troubleshoot engine assembly issues

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to work under deadlines in a workshop environment
