Provincial Coordinator – Eastern Cape | Eskom Expo for Young Scientists

The Eskom Expo for Young Scientists, South Africa’s official science fair, is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to lead the expansion of its science engagement activities across schools in the Eastern Cape province.

This is a unique opportunity to inspire the next generation of innovators while strengthening South Africa’s footprint in global STEM education.

Key Responsibilities

• Grow participation in Expo activities within schools across the province
• Build partnerships with government, higher education, and STEM stakeholders
• Implement strategic plans and marketing initiatives to expand Expo’s reach
• Champion science engagement and ensure alignment with international standards

Requirements

• Degree/diploma in science or education
• 3–5 years’ experience in a science expo committee or school environment, OR 5–8 years teaching science at secondary level
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Willingness to travel frequently within the province
• Ideally located in East London or Port Elizabeth (PE)
