Kenosis Collective is a forward-thinking global publishing and learning organization dedicated to empowering authors of impactful non-fiction.

We partner with visionaries and subject-matter experts to deliver high-quality, influential work that drives meaningful change across industries and communities worldwide.

With advanced publishing tools, global multi-format distribution (print, eBook, audiobook), and data-driven marketing, we ensure that powerful ideas reach the right audience. Our approach integrates author coaching, brand development, international partnerships, and disciplined execution to maximize long-term impact.

We operate as a remote-first, high-performance, values-led organization.

Culture is not decorative at Kenosis Collective.

It is strategic.

It is protected.

And execution discipline is how we protect it.

Nature of This Engagement

This is an unpaid volunteer role requiring approximately 15 hours per week for 6 months.

Volunteer does not mean casual

Part-time does not mean spare-time

Accountability remains professional

Standards remain high

We invest mentorship, structured exposure, and meaningful responsibility.

In return, we expect discipline, initiative, and ownership.

Why This Job Description Is Detailed

This job description is intentionally long.

We are not optimizing for applicant volume.

We are optimizing for alignment.

If you are seeking a light, low-accountability volunteer experience, this role will feel demanding.

If you are excited by building real systems, translating business needs into digital platforms, and contributing to a global knowledge ecosystem — this role may be formative.

We are building intentionally.

We screen carefully.

Role Positioning

The Website Architecture & Operations Specialist (Volunteer) supports the design, build, and operation of Kenosis Collective’s website as a core business platform.

~60% execution (building, structuring, maintaining)

~40% optimization (architecture, usability, flow, improvements)

You are not just building pages.

You are enabling how ideas are discovered, consumed, and scaled.

You translate Business Development, Marketing, and HR needs into structured website functionality.

Core Responsibilities

1. Website Architecture & Build

Support WordPress setup and configuration on GoDaddy

Design and optimize website structure, navigation, and flow

Build core pages (Blog, Authors, Team, Books, Resources, etc.)

Ensure usability, responsiveness, and functional consistency

Maintain clarity and structure across the site

This is structured execution, not ad hoc building.

2. Cross-Functional Translation (BD, Marketing, HR)

Translate non-technical requirements into website features

Support Business Development through landing pages and funnels

Support Marketing through content pages and campaign structures

Support HR through recruitment pages and candidate flows

Align outputs across teams into one coherent system

You bridge business thinking and technical execution.

3. Content & Growth Platform Support

Structure blog systems (categories, tags, internal linking)

Support SEO-ready page structures

Build affiliate and product promotion pages

Optimize layouts for engagement and usability

The website is a growth platform, not a static site.

4. Website Operations & Optimization

Identify and troubleshoot issues proactively

Maintain site consistency and quality

Suggest improvements in structure and UX

Document systems and changes clearly

You are expected to improve the system, not just maintain it.

5. Builder Mindset

Aligned with “Build Systems, Not Chaos”, you are expected to:

Structure pages logically, not randomly

Improve flows across the website

Think beyond individual tasks

Build for scalability and clarity

Suggest improvements proactively

Execution without thinking is not enough.

Ownership & Extra-Mile Standard

We are building a high-performance, early-stage organization.

Take ownership of deliverables

Ask questions when requirements are unclear

Translate ambiguity into structured outputs

Work effectively with non-technical stakeholders

Improve systems without being prompted

“This is not my job” is not aligned.

Ownership is.

Agility & Adaptability Requirement

Agile

Comfortable working with evolving requirements

Capable of adapting to cross-team needs

Able to operate without rigid instructions

Focused on outcomes, not preferences

We operate with evolving excellence.

Alignment With The KC Way & Standards of Leadership

Integrity Over High Performance

Initiative Over Passivity

Ownership & Follow-Through

Commitment Means Delivery or Early Notice

Flag Early vs Damage Control

Data-Driven Thinking

Long-Term Perspective

Performance Expectations

Quality and structure of website outputs

Ability to translate business needs into functionality

What You Will Gain

This is not a passive volunteer experience.

1. Real Platform Ownership (Execution-Level)

You will contribute to a live global website—not practice projects.

2. Cross-Functional Exposure

Work with Business Development, Marketing, and HR teams.

3. Systems Thinking Development

Learn how websites support growth, content, and operations.

4. Real Execution Experience

Build pages, flows, and structures used in real operations.

6. Transferable Career Capital

This role requires effort and discipline.

Growth is proportional to ownership taken.
