Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary who is currently working in a litigation environment to join their busy Family Law practice. As their firm specialises exclusively in family law, the successful candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Preparing, formatting, and managing legal documents and correspondence.
- Drafting, filing, and serving litigation documents.
- Maintaining and updating client files.
- Managing diaries, appointments, and court deadlines.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, sheriffs, courts, and other stakeholders.
- General administrative and secretarial support to attorneys.
- Ensuring compliance with court rules and internal procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years' current experience as a Litigation Secretary.
- Experience in litigation is essential.
- Proficient in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- DocFox
- Legal Suite
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional work ethic with sound judgment and maturity.
- Able to work effectively under pressure in a busy practice.
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the role.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competitive salary of R26,000 – R28,000 per month.
- Working hours from 09:00 to 15:00.
