SAFLog is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer Intern to gain practical experience in railway infrastructure, construction, and engineering projects while working alongside experienced engineering professionals.

Role Purpose

Support the Engineering team by assisting with the planning, coordination, monitoring, and execution of civil engineering projects while developing practical skills in the rail and logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with civil engineering project planning and coordination.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Support quality assurance and compliance activities.
• Assist with contract administration and project reporting.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Participate in infrastructure maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Candidate Engineer registration with ECSA will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
