A well-established and reputable building contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Yard, Logistics Manager & Buyer to join their team in Johannesburg. This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring the efficient management of the company yard, procurement of materials, plant and equipment, as well as coordinating deliveries and logistics to multiple construction sites. The successful candidate will play a vital role in keeping projects running on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the company yard. Procure construction materials, plant, equipment and consumables. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and reliable service. Coordinate deliveries to construction sites and manage logistics planning. Maintain stock control and inventory records. Oversee the maintenance and allocation of tools, plant and equipment. Ensure materials are available on site in line with construction programmes. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor purchasing budgets and prepare procurement reports. Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements. Minimum Requirements: 5+ years' experience in a similar role within the building construction industry. Proven experience in procurement, logistics and yard management. Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers and plant. Excellent organisational, negotiation and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with construction procurement systems will be advantageous. Valid driver's licence.
