Actuarial Analyst

We're looking for an Actuarial & Data Analyst to join an innovative short-term insurance business where you'll play a key role in pricing, analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements include

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science
• NQF Level equivalent of the above (Qualification in Data Analytics, Engineering, or Data Science advantageous)
• 0–3 years' experience within financial services, insurance, or a technology-driven environment
• Progress towards ASSA professional exams is advantageous
• Strong SQL skills with experience in Python and/or R
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Exposure to cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks is advantageous
• Understanding of short-term insurance concepts, including pricing, loss ratios, renewals, and reserving, is beneficial
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• A proactive, inquisitive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation
