Help Desk IT Support Technician

Our client is looking for a proactive and service-driven Help Desk IT Support Technician to join their growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional who enjoys resolving IT challenges, supporting end users, and ensuring business operations run smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and the ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within Active Directory and company systems.
• Escalate complex technical issues where necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions.
• Support remote users through VPN and remote access tools.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing equipment and user accounts.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment records.
• Contribute to improving internal support processes and documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and user access management.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or ITIL will be advantageous.
