Workshop Manager - Panel beater / Senior Estimator

• Manage daily workshop operations and production
• Allocate work to technicians and monitor productivity
• Ensure repairs are completed within agreed turnaround times
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using Audatex
• Liaise with insurance assessors and negotiate estimate approvals
• Submit supplementary estimates and monitor repair authorisations
• Provide outstanding customer service and regular progress updates
• Conduct quality control inspections prior to vehicle delivery
• Lead, mentor and manage workshop staff
• Coordinate suppliers, parts procurement and paint representatives
• Monitor material usage and outstanding jobs
• Ensure all insurer and OEM requirements are met
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and reporting

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a panel shop environment
• Previous experience as a Workshop Manager, Production Manager or Senior Estimator
• Proven insurance estimating experience
• Audatex estimating experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair methods and OEM standards
• Experience dealing with major South African insurers
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Computer literate
• Valid driver's licence
