SUMMARY

A global leader in international freight forwarding and logistics is looking to appoint a senior Key Account Manager to take ownership of one of their largest and most complex accounts.

POSITION INFO

This is not a traditional Key Account Management role, we're looking for someone who is commercially minded, operationally strong, highly resilient and prepared to be hands-on every single day. This role will suit someone who has built a career in either senior sales or strategic key account management within the clearing and forwarding industry and understands what it takes to retain, grow and manage a high-expectation client. Duties: Taking full ownership of a large strategic account, ensuring exceptional service delivery across all freight movements. Acting as the primary escalation point for operational, commercial and service-related matters. Building strong relationships with key decision-makers while confidently managing challenging conversations. Working closely with operations, customs, transport and management teams to drive service excellence. Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and customer satisfaction. Monitoring KPIs, preparing business reviews and ensuring contractual obligations are consistently achieved. Driving account growth while protecting profitability. Being visible, proactive and responsive, with regular customer engagement and on-site visits where required. Requirements: Minimum 8-10 years of experience within a commercial role within clearing and forwarding (non-negotiable). Experience handling household appliance or white goods customers within clearing and forwarding. Highly resilient with the confidence to manage demanding stakeholders and perform under pressure. Stable career history with a track record of delivering results for major accounts. Own vehicle and a valid driver's licence.
