The Radiographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and other imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. The role also involves ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging equipment, and producing high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation protection standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-rays, CT, MRI, and other imaging examinations) in accordance with physician requests and established protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection prevention standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nurses to support quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Participate in professional development and training to remain current with advancements in medical imaging.

Job Specifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Radiography/Medical Imaging with valid professional registration.
  • A certificate or background in Sonography will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in diagnostic imaging.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols, patient care standards, and RIS/PACS systems.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, innovation, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work under demanding conditions, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
