SUMMARY

POSITION INFO

ENVIRONMENT: Our client is a leading international gaming, leisure, and entertainment group offering exciting and entertaining customer experiences, in venues or online. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will Architect and design complex web applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability and to develop and implement robust and efficient solutions using technical expertise. DUTIES: Main Accountabilities & Responsibilities :

• Architect and design complex web applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Develop and implement robust and efficient solutions using technical expertise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, pixel-perfect user experiences.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, leveraging problem-solving and analytical skills. Technical contribution and Mentorship:
• Mentor team members, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback and enforcing coding standards.
• Share knowledge and expertise through technical discussions and presentations.
• Participate on technical discussions and decision-making processes. Agile Delivery and Collaboration : Agile Methodology:
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to drive efficient delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Take ownership of complex features and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
• Adhere to software development best practices, including Test-Driven approach and unit/integration
• testing. Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution :
• Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, escalating when necessary.
• Provide timely and accurate status updates to leads & stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team Continuous Learning and Innovation: Technical Excellence:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
• Continuously improve technical skills through self-learning and training.
• Experiment with new technologies and approaches to drive innovation. REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven ability to write clean, testable, readable code in a team environment using design patterns, SOLID and OO principles;
• Proven experience of building, automating and deploying software to production;
• Ability to find creative solutions and implement them in a fast-paced work environment;
• Technical analysis experience translating business requirements into functionality;
• Ability to work as part of a team (but take individual ownership and responsibility); At least 5 years of experience in web development specifically using:
• React
• Solid experience with JavaScript & Typescript, with React, Node JS, and Remix. Run frameworks
• Ability to write unit and integration tests;
• Experience applying SOLID design principles;
• Experience building web services and APIs on REST;
• Previous experience working in the betting, financial and/or banking sector (advantageous)
• CMS experience - Umbraco (advantageous)
• Experience working with Cloudflare Pages (advantageous)
• Experience working with Storybook (advantageous)
• Experience working with component libraries (advantageous)
• JavaScript tool libraries - Jasmine, Protractor, Karma
• package managers - npm
• pre-processors such as SASS or SCSS
• Tailwind (advantageous) Qualifications:
• Beneficial: Degree or equivalent qualification desirable (ideally in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a similar discipline); ATTRIBUTES:
• Excellent written communication skills (articulate, friendly and polite);
• Good verbal communication skills;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Demonstrate a calm manner and an ability to handle difficult situations;
